Woo: the Influencing strength for founders

Strangers are just friends I haven't converted yet.

What it is

Social energy as a tool. They like breaking the ice, winning a room, turning unknown into known. Charge from contact.

What it is not

Not Communication (the story). Not Relator (depth). Not Positivity (weather). Woo is winning new people.

How it shows up in a founder

How this strength breaks the company

Superpowers in the company

Product

Distribution. Creators, buyers, affiliates, the first 100 customers who found you because someone liked them.

People

Recruiting energy. The company meets the world. Retention of those people needs a Relator behind them.

Money

Top of funnel. Partnerships. Weak at collections and the third follow-up.

Ops

Not their house. Don't hide them in the warehouse unless the warehouse is a tour.

You, them, co-founder

If you have it

Win the room, then hand the relationship to someone who will go deep. Charm is a door. It is not a house.

If they report to you

Put them on the floor, the show, the outbound, the first call. Attach a closer. Don't judge them for hating the CRM — make the handoff the metric.

If they're a co-founder

They will get you in the room. You must get the deal out of the room. Do not make them COO.

Working rule

Every new name gets a next step and an owner. A hello without a handoff is entertainment.

Ask this

Who did you win last month that we still have — and who was just a good conversation?

Hire beside them

Relator, Responsibility, Focus, Achiever

A closer and a keeper. Someone who loves the second and third meeting.

Tells

Already talking to the stranger. Remembers a name. Energy up in a crowded room, down in a bunker week.

Stress tell

More rooms, more hellos. Avoids the one relationship that needs repair.

Don't confuse with

Communication tells the story. Relator goes deep. Positivity is weather. Woo wins the new person. Pair with Relator so the win becomes a relationship.
