MyMentorSteve Terms of Use

Effective: October 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of MyMentorSteve: Business Mentor, published by Catalyst88, LLC ("Catalyst88," "we," "us," or "our") for supported OpenAI products, including ChatGPT and Codex. By using MyMentorSteve, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. An OpenAI product's own terms also apply. The Catalyst88 website, Community App, and separately purchased programs have their own Terms of Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use MyMentorSteve. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. What MyMentorSteve provides

MyMentorSteve provides AI-generated business education based on Steve Simonson's training and podcast materials, with optional informational links. It is not Steve personally, a live coaching session, or a professional advisory relationship. Its answers may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated; verify important decisions independently. It does not provide individualized investment, legal, tax, or medical advice, and no business outcome is guaranteed.

The current plugin cannot contact suppliers, change business records, book a meeting, accept payment, or complete a purchase. Following an optional link does not itself enroll you in a program or charge you. A paid Catalyst88 membership is not required to use MyMentorSteve, but access through an OpenAI product is subject to that product's requirements and terms. Any service you separately purchase has its own terms.

3. Intellectual property and use

MyMentorSteve's instructions, bundled reference materials, and Steve's underlying training and podcast materials belong to Catalyst88 or its licensors. Using the plugin does not grant permission to reproduce or redistribute those materials. Do not use MyMentorSteve to violate applicable law or the rights of others.

4. OpenAI and other services

MyMentorSteve runs inside OpenAI products, which have their own terms and privacy policies. Optional links may lead to other services with their own terms and policies. Catalyst88 is not responsible for those services' availability, accuracy, or practices. See the MyMentorSteve Privacy Policy for the plugin's data handling.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MYMENTORSTEVE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. CATALYST88 DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANSWERS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, UNINTERRUPTED, OR ERROR-FREE.

6. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CATALYST88 AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF MYMENTORSTEVE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL CATALYST88'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR MYMENTORSTEVE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID CATALYST88 FOR MYMENTORSTEVE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Catalyst88 and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your misuse of MyMentorSteve, your violation of these terms, or your violation of third-party rights.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes arising from these terms or MyMentorSteve will first be submitted to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, they will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, in King County, Washington. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

9. Changes and contact

Revised plugin terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. MyMentorSteve has no Catalyst88 plugin account or in-plugin notice channel. Questions may be sent to legal@catalyst88.com.
